Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a champion of Civil Rights. He marched and spoke in cities all across America, fighting to get African Americans equal treatment under the law. Dr. King is an American hero, and an icon that we can all be proud of. And while we should remember Dr. King first and foremost as a fighter for racial equality, we should also remember that he had powerful feelings about the positive impact of organized labor in America. Dr. King strongly believed in the value of unions. He was a great ally for hard-working men and women everywhere.
