Next week you have an important decision. Do you want to have Union representation which will give you a voice on the job? Or do you believe that management is going to change and begin to treat you with the respect you deserve.
When you go to management with a concern do they respond? One recent example is the attendance policy. A few people have said this is a problem yet management refuses to change the policy. When you speak as one through a Union, management must listen to your concerns. Not to mention when you have a contract, changes to a company policy MUST be discussed with the Union.
Management promises are just that; a promise. But what happens when they don’t follow through, you have no recourse.
If you have not spoken to a Union representative from Local 655, I urge you to contact us at 636-394-6500 to allow us to answer any questions you may have.
In addition you can speak to current Local 655 members that work in your field. Our members work in Schnucks and Shop‘n Save pharmacies. If you know an employee that works in one of these locations reach out and ask them about the benefits of being a member of Local 655. In addition to the employees that work in the pharmacy departments, Local 655 represents most of the employees that work at Schnucks, Shop ‘n Save and Dierbergs. Reach out to any of our members. Ask our members about their Health Care coverage, their Retirement benefits or just the ability to speak as one during bargaining.
The choice is clear, exercise your right to join together and improve your working conditions and your standard of living. Vote the right side of the ballot for UFCW Local 655. Speak as one with UFCW Local 655
