As the Pride St. Louis parade made its way down Market Street on Sunday, it wasn’t a matter of just the LGBT Community taking to the streets.
Now in its 34th year in St. Louis, the Pride St. Louis parade has made it to the mainstream.
Firefighters, police, military personnel and more showed their support of the LGBT community—and Local 655 officers and members brought their own brand of “loud and proud” to the event.
“Our ongoing goal, our mission, is that all human beings are worthy of fair treatment,” said Local 655 President David Cook. “Our union supports human rights, and standing up for fair treatment of the LGBT community is only appropriate.”
