Dear former Shop ‘n Save Employees,
Many former Shop ‘n Save employees who worked in an acquired store currently working at Schnucks received 4 months of health insurance at no cost to them thanks to the severance language negotiated in their union contract.
Unfortunately, due to a programming error by the Health & Welfare Fund office, some of those employees received an additional 5th month of healthcare without being charged their regular weekly premium. That amount is now being deducted from the paychecks of individuals who were impacted by this error.
Your Union has worked with Schnucks and the Health & Welfare Fund office to correct this error.
While this was not an error made by UFCW Local 655, I would still like to extend a personal apology to anyone negatively impacted.
